🌟 When are you opening?
We'll be opening our doors on August 25, 2025! You can book your tour now OR sign up for our waitlist to make sure you're in the loop about opening events and important info.
🧵 Is Kinship just for fashion designers?
Not at all! Kinship is for anyone working in or around the fashion industry. That includes graphic designers, marketers, photographers, writers, stylists, brand consultants, and more. We’re building an ecosystem—and we know it takes all kinds of creatives to make fashion happen.
🪑 What’s the difference between Creative Coworking and the Design Studio?
Creative Coworking is for desk work: writing, editing, emailing, designing, researching—whatever you do with a laptop and a notebook.
Design Studio membership includes access to equipment like sewing machines and cutting tables for hands-on product development. Rest assured, the creative coworking area is also yours to use when you're not in maker-mode.
📍Where is Kinship located?
We're located in the Central Eastside district in Portland, Oregon. Our studio is easily accessible by public transit, bike, and car.

🔊 Is it a quiet coworking space?
Nope—and that’s on purpose. Kinship is full of movement and making. You'll hear sewing machines, steam irons, and creative conversations. It’s a lively environment made for people who feel energized by being surrounded by other creatives doing their thing.
🕐 What are the hours?
Specific hours will be announced when we open—we’re all about keeping it accessible and flexible. What hours would work well for you? Make your voice heard by filling out our 2-minute survey.
📬 Can I use Kinship as my business address?
Yes! Mail intake comes free with Unlimited memberships and it's also available as a monthly add-on service for other memberships and non-members. We’ll receive and securely hold your mail for you here at the studio. Email gaia@kinshippdx.com to request.
🛒 Can I sell my work at Kinship?
Yes! Members are invited to apply for our monthly weekend pop-up shops, where you can showcase and sell your products to the local community. Applications opening soon.
🎥 What’s in the Content Creation Room?
The content room is designed for shooting product, filming edits for social media, and anything else you need a clean background for. Bring your gear and use the space to shoot reels, flat lays, or development samples. Available by reservation (coming soon). No membership required.
📓 What office and design supplies do you provide?
Every membership includes unlimited use of office supplies—think scissors, tape, post-its, printer paper, etc. We also make sure to stay stocked with sewing basics like rulers, measuring tape, needles, and more in case you run out or forget to bring your own.
🤝 How do I become a member?
Memberships will be available for pre-order from August 11-24. To thank you for your early support, we'll be offering a complimentary Design Studio tier jump for your first month. (Light → Flex, Flex → Unlimited).
For Creative Office Members, early signups will get a bonus hour of conference room time to help you dive into your projects and client work right away.
In order to keep things streamlined, membership pre-orders will only be available if you book a tour.

We open our doors on August 25th and will be ready to sign on new members, day pass users, conference room attendees, content creation studio users, and mail intake customers by that day. Sign up for our waitlist to make sure you get notified when the time comes.
